The story of a woman's woes. #Chapter1 - What to wear?

Be it a big date coming up or interview call from a company she could die for or even a longtime friend wanting to meet up. "What to wear?" is the first question and for a long time the only question that is on her mind.
The closet is overflowing but the mind rejects each for various reasons - not the right colour, does not suit my mood, what a terrible fit or even what was I thinking when I bought this. A huge questionnaire is prepared for the friends to fill in to select the one-perfect-oh-my-god-this-is-the-one dress.

Women are choosy and even emotional about the kind of clothes they wear. Saving a dress for a special occasion is one of the traits women possess. Also every dress might have a story behind it and she will remember it through the years. A woman has a world of emotions hidden behind that closet and hence it is only right that she takes her own time to decide.
Remember the next time you get asked the question or are faced by the question of what to wear. Tread carefully. It is not the case of no strings attached.

Break the myth about formals being just sober white/black outfits.

It’s not about ‘WHAT’ you wear; it’s ‘HOW’ you wear what you wear, that makes a difference. In general, a formal outfit for men would include a pair of well fitted pants, a classy dress shirt, a tie and a coat which is meant only for special meetings. Formal wear for girls comparatively have variety to offer which includes a pair of well fitted pants, skirts (mostly knee length,) shirts and semi formal shirts, ties, scarves, vests, coats and appropriate accessories to go with them.

What has been practiced and been in fashion for generations is the fact that formal clothes have to be of standard colors, the standard colors being black, grey, white, ash color etc.

If you are an entrepreneur, aspiring manager or belong to the corporate field, it becomes very important not only to look right but also to look the best in order to make an impression. You should make sure you define your business presence not only by quality work, but also by appearance. Some power colors will give a defining boost to your body language!

Power colors are rich, dark tones of black, blue, green, red and brown. Light colors can be powerful when they are used in monochromatic outfits especially for girls. Bright colors can go a long way when dressing for business but make sure you use them in small doses. A lot of color and many such bright colors clubbed together will lower your professionalism.

Also color blocking on garments and accessories undermine a businesslike statement. Make sure you show your power personality in business by the colors you choose to be a confidence booster resulting in good communication. Girls, make sure you look chic and sexy with experimental colors and, men, make sure you use the monochromatic light colors if you are not sure about how to correctly blend small doses of bright colors.

New trend: Gold fabric used for ties and collars!

The Men and their myths

So you have entered your 20's, gotten rid of your French styled moustache and now are trying hard to fit in your father's shoes (literally!) The boys entering the men zone are welcomed sans the horrible myths that come along with them. We look forward to blow away these myths today picking up the best or rather worst 3. Here goes.

1)  The shirt-button relationship - Agreed. You cannot be flaunting your shaved chest anymore. But being a man does not mean you have to strangulate yourself by being buttoned up right till the top. Go easy on your shirt and yourself. Check out the Bombay High way of buttoning up.

2)     Goodbye T-shirts - Yes. The superman and Mickey Mouse t-shirts have to make their way out of the closet. But bring in the very cool polo t-shirt and team it up with your old rugged jeans or a new pair of casual denims and you are good to go. Also the whole golf look has always been a hit with the ladies. Need we convince you anymore?

3)      Suits you, sir! - Too many men have no idea on how to suit up or don't care enough. A well-dressed man has never failed to impress. Yes, never. Go for the classic grey or the basic black or even the standard blue, there is a world of distinction that comes with an amazing suit. If nothing else, remember the words of the great womanizer Barney Stinson "Nothing suits you like a suit!"

5 years & US

Bombay High

They say 5 years are nothing, we say every second counts. On the journey to seek the best and trying to be the best, we’ve reached our first milestone, the 5 year mark.  Mistakes were made, triumphs were achieved. But the most important thing which we gained on the way was the people’s appreciation.

It is still exciting for us to spot someone carrying a Bombay High bag, we smile, still. Coming as a formal wear brand, we had hoped to change the way formals were perceived and worn as. We’d like to take credit by saying, we might not have changed the game entirely, but we surely have influenced it.

The more you dream, the more you want to achieve. Hence, we are now entering into the territory of casual wear.  We promise that quality, will never be compromised and nor will style. Being a youth brand, we are buzzing with energy and effort. We want your response, your ideas and your support to carry on as brilliantly as we have.

May the force be with you (Because we love Star Wars)

P.S: Thanks
